Anthony D. Shapero
Tony Shapero is the Managing Partner of Liss, Shapero & Mitnick. With over 25 years of experience, Tony has established himself as a leading personal injury litigator, specializing in securing measurable results for the injured. 100% of his practice is devoted to litigation.
A Unique Edge for Our Clients
Tony’s career began in insurance defense with the Southfield-based firm Romain, Donofrio, Kuck and Egerer. After earning his Juris Doctor in 1996, he spent years representing insurance companies, gaining unparalleled insight into their strategies, valuation methods, and internal procedures.
In 2000, as personal injury law became increasingly complex, Tony transitioned to representing injured individuals. This deep, well-rounded perspective—knowing how both sides operate—allows him to strategically anticipate the opposition and build powerful cases for his clients. He joined forces with veteran attorney Robert F. Liss, eventually becoming his partner, and took over as the firm's leader following Mr. Liss’s retirement in 2020. He fights fiercely to level the playing field against the powerful insurance companies he once advised. He has tried to verdict and settled hundreds of six and seven figure cases over the years.
